Akshita Agarwal is an Assistant Professor of Political Science and International Relations at JECRC University, Jaipur, India, and a Ph.D. scholar in International Relations at Banasthali Vidyapith. An active researcher in South Asian geopolitics, global governance, and development diplomacy, her work focuses on shifting regional dynamics. She has contributed to the field through notable publications, including a book chapter analysing India and Japan’s strategic responses to China’s Belt and Road Initiative. Additionally, she presented her research on China and the Global South at the 2025 IPSA World Congress in South Korea, which was subsequently published in the IPSA Proceedings.
