Dr. Stella Gerani

Dr. Stella Gerani is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute for International Relations, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Mount Scopus. Her research focuses on Turkey’s strategic expansion into Africa and the evolving interplay of soft power, hard power, and hybrid statecraft, with particular emphasis on the MENA region, the Horn of Africa, and the Red Sea. She teaches Energy Politics and Security at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the International Hellenic University. She holds a PhD in International and European Studies from the University of Macedonia and a BA in Classics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at leading international academic and policy forums.
